Does your Business Insurance have holes like a donut?

Road Trip Tuesday: We took our road trip today with quality assurance in mind.                                                        Check out our picture at Desert Donuts. Don't you think we look thinner :))                                                                                 Did you know we can insure Bakeries, Donut Shops, Coffee Shops and more??

Most bakeries got their start after years of perfecting recipes and testing breads and desserts on their families and friends before finally taking the dive and opening up shop. After all the hard work and planning you've put into building your business, it stands to reason you also want to give your business the protection it needs to thrive.

With adequate business insurance, you have the security of knowing you can weather a costly liability lawsuit or property damage claim, and still keep offering delicious treats and artisan breads to discerning clients. Farmers Insurance has a special Business Package just for you.

Give us a call at April Schaffroth Farmers Agency to create the perfect policy for your business at 602-297-5155.

Don't monkey around and risk a slip and fall at your home or office!

We have been known to "monkey" around at our office as you can see by the banana peel AND our previous posts.
All risks at your home or business are not always this obvious. You should make sure your walk ways are clear to avoid impromptu break dancing and "Oh &*^%$" falls.                                                                                                                        From Wikipedia it states: Slip and fall, also known as a trip and fall, is a personal injury claim or case based on a person slipping (or tripping) and falling. It is a tort, and based on a claim that the property owner was negligent in allowing some dangerous condition to exist that caused the fall.
Property owners generally have two basic defenses to public liability slip and fall claims:
    • The first defense is that they were not negligent. For example, the owner may claim that the banana that a patron slipped upon had been dropped on the floor only moments ago by another patron, and that, in the exercise of due diligence, a typical store owner acting with reasonable care would not have had time to discover the danger and take steps to mitigate the danger.
    • The second and more typical defense is that the person who was injured was at fault. For example, the owner may claim that any reasonable patron, exercising due diligence for his or her own safety, would see a banana on the floor, and take those steps necessary to avoid slipping on it.

Depending upon the intent or negligence of a responsible party, the injured party may be entitled to monetary compensation from that party through a settlement or a judgment. However, because of a general perception that slip and falls are often at least partly the fault of the person injured, slip and fall injuries are usually worth less than injuries from other types of torts. Aside from compensation for injuries, the injured person may get compensated for the lifetime effect of the injuries.                                                                                                                                                             What are you waiting for...call April Schaffroth Farmers Agency today at 602-297-5155 to make sure you are covered for any and all of these shenanigans.

We want a Triple Crown Party; not a Triple Claim party

Happy Derby Day!       When hosting your Derby party; make sure your hat is fabulous, your mint is fresh and your julep drinkers have designated jockeys (drivers)!!!                                                                We only want you to host an exciting Triple Crown event and NOT have a Triple Claim event!
From the www.kentuckyderby.com, there is more to the history than watching the horse races.

    Garland of Roses

The roses were first established as part of the Derby celebration when they were presented to all the ladies attending a fashionable Louisville Derby party. The roses were such a sensation, that the president of Churchill Downs, Col. Lewis Clark, adopted the rose as the race's official flower. The rose garland now synonymous with the Kentucky Derby first appeared in the 1896 when the winner, Ben Brush, received a floral arrangement of white and pink roses.
In 1904 the red rose became the official flower of the Kentucky Derby. The tradition was strengthened when, in 1925, New York sports columnist Bill Corum, later the president of Churchill Downs, dubbed the Kentucky Derby the "Run for the Roses." The garland as it exists today was first introduced in 1932 for the 58th running won by Burgoo King.
Each year, a garland of more than 400 red roses is sewn into a green satin backing with the seal of the Commonwealth on one end and the Twin Spires and number of the race’s current renewal on the other. Each garland is also adorned with a "crown" of roses, green fern and ribbon. The "crown," a single rose pointing upward in the center of the garland, symbolizes the struggle and heart necessary to reach the Derby Winner’s Circle.
Each year the Governor of Kentucky and other dignitaries also present the winning jockey with a bouquet of 60 long stemmed roses wrapped in 10 yards of ribbon.

Before hosting your next event; call April Schaffroth at 602-297-5155 to make sure you are properly covered.
